Below the top, an arrangement of bowed and line-strung mahogany drawers is centered by yew burl panels, offering a visual contrast in grain and tone. The upper section consists of three frieze drawers, while three long drawers beneath provide additional storage.

Flanking the drawers, turned and tapering columns add structure and symmetry to the design. The chest stands on fluted peg feet, each capped with brass fittings, contributing to both stability and decorative detail. This piece reflects a balance of craftsmanship and functionality, incorporating veneered surfaces and intricate banding to enhance its overall composition.
