This truly magnificent Chippendale 18th Century Fireplace and Overmantel Mirror represents a classic style, inspired by the original designs from the Chippendale Director, a catalog of more than 250 furniture designs first published in 1754.

The piece is entirely hand-carved in laminated solid mahogany by a team of five expert craftsmen under the guidance of Henry Stamp, Director at Brights of Nettlebed. After months of intricate carving and sanding, it was brought to the UK where it was further worked on and gilded with 23-carat gold leaf to create a striking finish. The marble base and backplate complement the piece with a cream marble backplate featuring a thumbnail edge.
