Inspired by a traditional 1890s sofa, from the Brights of Nettlebed archives we are proud to introduce The Oxford. Bespoke and proudly hand made in our UK workshops. 

A hand carved and polished leg, sits on antique style castors and then dowelled, screwed and glued in to a beech frame. A jute and hessian seat, with 112 hand sewn coil springs, furthermore gives support for the feather wrapped foam large back cushions. Which ensures we have made this traditionally inspired sofa exceptionally comfortable.

Upholstering in Bibi Kala from Linwood fabrics was a very easy decision. Linwood have taken inspiration from the patterns of ancient silk Abra workshops of Central Asia, making the fabric unique and inspiring. We are so in love with this modern fabric and its sharp and edgy design and how it is available is a gorgeous range of 12 colours.

Above all, we are proud to have used a combination of English tradition, and Asian culture, to create a modern, beautiful and traditional, 1890s sofa that invokes comfort and style.
