Traditional Giltwood Console Table

This traditional giltwood console table is inspired by an antique piece from our family archives.

Craftsmen carefully select and match the Cerejeira veneers for the top to create a mirrored pattern, ensuring a cohesive and striking appearance. The solid mahogany base is oil gilded with Dutch metal, applied over a red foundation to achieve a lightly distressed antique patina.

Each hand-carved leaf is meticulously applied to the front and side rails, while the central panel features an urn with swags and tails, complemented by an egg-and-dart pattern above and a gadrooned edge below. The legs are adorned with intricate flowerhead motifs on the leg blocks, enhancing the overall elegance and craftsmanship.
