This original oil painting, created in the Victorian style and inspired by Andrew Carrick Gow, commemorates Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. The painting portrays the grand celebration marking 60 years of her reign. Focusing on a view of the west front of St. Paul’s Cathedral as Queen Victoria greets the cheering crowds.

The Diamond Jubilee in 1897, celebrated with a large procession through various parts of London. Including Westminster, The City, and Southwark. During the parade, there was a 20-minute pause for a thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. The jubilant crowd and the majestic setting of the cathedral create a vibrant and historic atmosphere.

To achieve a vintage appearance, the canvas has been treated with an ageing varnish, lending the painting an antique look. It is then stretched and mounted in a hand-made metal leaf frame, measuring 4 inches wide, further enhancing its Victorian aesthetic. This oil painting serves as a beautiful homage to Queen Victoria's historic milestone and the grand celebrations of her Diamond Jubilee.
