A late George III mahogany dining chair, the shaped waisted back with serpentine uprights above an overstuffed seat, on elegant moulded cabriole legs terminating in spade feet. The original very large set designed by George Seddon circa 1800. The London firm of Seddon (1753-1868) were the largest and most important furniture makers during the last quarter of the 18th century yet very few labelled or documented pieces survive.
