Campaign desk

Excellent example of a mid 19thC military campaign pedestal desk in mahogany, which is unusual as they were mainly made in Teak. The gallery and feet are both removable for easy transportation, its small proportion makes it a most desirable piece of campaign furniture, 

The manufacturer's label is from Arthur Foley and sons, a Salisbury cabinet maker that supplied the army and navy during this period.
